The Show Log dialog's View Patch side window is empty when the Working dir changes line is selected and no file is selected

By d...@typicus.org on November 17, 2014 13:51 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Open Show Log on a working dir that has non-commited changes.
  2. Select the "Working dir changes" line at the top of the list.
  3. Show the View Patch window.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would like to see the full unified diff of all the changes in my working dir (similarly to what is shown when an actual commit is selected in the list). Instead, the View Patch window is blank.
Note that if I click a file in the bottom list, the View Patch window shows the changes in that file as expected. The only thing that doesn't work is when Working dir changes is selected in the top list and no file is selected in the bottom list.

What version of TortoiseGit and msysgit are you using? On
what operating system?
TortoiseGit 1.8.11.0 (C:\Program Files\TortoiseGit\bin)
git version 1.9.4.msysgit.2 (C:\Program Files (x86)\Git\bin)
Windows 7 64-bits.
