Fetching & pushing using ssh.exe not working with TortoiseGit 1.8.10

By biggreen... on August 13, 2014 18:15 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Install 1.8.10
  2. Start fetch
  3. infinite loop

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
fetch and pull do something

What version of TortoiseGit and msysgit are you using? On
what operating system?
TortoiseGit 1.8.10 (1.8.9 worked)
msysgit 1.9.4 but when the bug first occurred i had 1.8.3

Please provide any additional information below.
Msysgit works perfectly. Any tortoisegit functions that don't require msysgit (or ssh?) work perfectly. fetch/pull enters into a continuous loop before asking for the ssh password. I had a custom ssh config in my homedir. Earlier i used msysgit with the cmd wrappers, but i managed to configure msysgit to not use any wrappers yet still use the correct homedir (set HOME environment var). Apparently TortoiseGit 1.8.10 changed the way it calls msysgit which seems incompatible with my setup.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
