TGitCache keeps crashing when I look at my folders or commit

By lanny.... on July 22, 2014 18:33 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Clicking in my Git repo directory.
  2. Or when I try to commit.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

  1. Clicking in my Git repo directory, I expect to just look at my file. But I see a screen flashing by saying "TGitCache64 has crashed". Then a crash server web page pops out says "Report uploaded". Report information says:
    Report information
    Manufacturer TortoiseGit
    Application name TortoiseGit
    Application version 1.8.9.0
    Problem state New
    Problem 77134
    Dump group 174864
    Dump 2244950
  2. When I commit, I get a message saying: "fatal: Out of memory? mmap failed: No error"

What version of TortoiseGit and msysgit are you using? On
what operating system?
I am using TortoiseGit 1.8.9.0 (64bit) and 1.9.4.msysgit.

Please provide any additional information below.
I have some large files in my folders. But they are not added to the repo. The largest file in the repo is only like 158MB.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
