Config file mess up if not end with LF

By buginggran... on July 17, 2014 00:50 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. edit local config (.git/config)
  2. no LF at end of file, no [user] section in the file
  3. Use TortoiseGit settings to set user.name

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Actual: mess up
Expected: can get back user.name

What version of TortoiseGit and msysgit are you using? On
what operating system?
TortoiseGit 1.8.9.0

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
