tortoisegit add fails with message: libgit2: "failed to parse 'warn' as boolean"

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Upgraded to 1.8.9.0 and tried to Add new files

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of TortoiseGit and msysgit are you using? On
what operating system?
TortoiseGit: 1.8.9.0;
Git for Windows: Git-1.9.0-preview20140217;
Windows 8.1 64-bit

Please provide any additional information below.
Fixed by un-installing 1.8.9.0 and re-installing previous version 1.8.8.0

I no longer have 1.8.9.0 installed and so will not be able to provide additional information.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
