Tortoise(Git)Merge - 'find' workflow suggested enhancement

By stephen.j.h.willi... on February 09, 2014 10:25 (imported from Google Code)

  1. Search workflow

Say I mark my patched code using MY_PATCH as an identifier in the source of some project.

For every file I merge, I have to ctrl-f, then have to move the find dialog onto my second screen & hit find, repeating this process for every occurrence.

Suggested enhancement :

On the toolbar ribbon, you have a search icon (magnifying glass).

Suggest placing an up arrow & down arrow immediately below that to search up or down from current line using the current search parameters without bringing the search dialog up. If search has not yet been configured the arrows should be grey'd out.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
