Missing option to disable displaying "FETCH_HEAD" in "Switch/Checkout" dialog box

By trejderow... on December 07, 2013 19:55 (imported from Google Code)

As in here:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/20419738/disable-displaying-fetch-head-in-tortoisegit

One of my repos started to show "FETCH_HEAD" in "Switch/Checkout" dialog box and I don't see any option in TortoiseGit that would allow me to disable showing this kind of special labels.

I understand (though I'm fairly new to Git and TortoiseGit), that "FETCH_HEAD" isn't a real branch and that is another argument, why I want to get rid of it from "Switch/Checkout" dialog box.

In my personal situation, TortoiseGit is the only Git's client, that displays this special "branch" / label. Other two (console git and Netbeans) doesn't have it, when dealing with branches. For this, I'm not sure, if it isn't some kind of bug, that only TortoiseGit shows this.

Other GUIs (like Eclipse) have special option to disable showing these labels. Can we have one such in TortoiseGit?

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
