What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I see the generic crasch error message of windows that informe me that TortoisePlink.exe has stopped working.

What version of TortoiseGit and msysgit are you using? On
what operating system?
I'm using TortoiseGit 1.8.6.0 and git version 1.8.4.msysgit.0
