bugtraq logregex does not save correctly

By ta.fa... on November 05, 2013 19:34 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Access TortoiseGit settings via context menu, go to Issue Tracker Config
  2. Select the Local config source, make changes to the bugtraq.logregex field
  3. Apply and/or hit OK. Now re-open settings; the logregex field will be blank. Now the bug regex does not apply to the log window and bug IDs are not detected.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The logregex should save and restore via the settings correctly. It appears that the regex being saved to file is not double quoted. If I surround the regex in double quotes manually, things work as expected. As soon as I make another edit via the settings dialog, the double quotes are removed and it no longer works again.

What version of TortoiseGit and msysgit are you using? On
what operating system?
TortoiseGit 1.8.6.0
git version 1.8.4.mysysgit.0
Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
