Strictly speaking, this is not an issue but a new feature request in you next release as described below:
Add auto-suggested prefix or label to commit message, these prefixes/labels could be predefined in the setting / configuration windows. e.g.
When added added the following labels to a pre-defined list somewhere in setting:
APICHANGE
FEATURE
BUGFIX
ENHANCEMENT
MINOR
If turned on this auto-complete labeling feature, when beginning to edit the commit message, a label candidate list as above appears, and when typed in 'A', the list filter out only "APICHANGE" available to be selected, once select it, the commit message box auto populated with:
APICHANGE:
with cursor located after it by one space.
This feature saves the committer 1 second for finishing typing the whole label manually and also could avoid typo from happening.
This feature could be extremely useful for developers that obeying "labeling commit message" rules which lots IT companies were / are using.
