TortoiseGit does not work on WinXP/2003 x64

By mmura...@onapsis.com on May 17, 2013 14:50 (imported from Google Code)

Host: Windows 2003 R2 x64 SP2

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Install Git-1.8.1.2-preview20130201.exe
  2. Install WindowsServer2003-KB942288-v4-x64.exe (new MSI hotfix)
  3. TortoiseGit-1.8.3.0-64bit.msi

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
If I right-click on any Windows Explorer folder, tortoisegit options are displayed (like tortoisesvn did).

If I right-click over an already cloned repo folder, tortoisegit options for that repo are displayed (like tortoisesvn did).

Please provide any additional information below.
I never used tortoisegit, so I'm kind of guessing that a context menu should be displayed. If this is not the expected behavior, please indicate me how should I use tortoisegit.

Thanks!
