Repository Browser fails for empty repository

By thiago...@bol.com.br on April 20, 2013 21:37 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Create a empty folder;
  2. Create a new (not bare) repository;
  3. Enter the created folder;
  4. Click TortoiseGit -> Repository Browser

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
An error message: "Could not lookup commit. libgit2 returned: Object not found - failed to find pack entry ...".

What version of TortoiseGit and msysgit are you using? On
what operating system?
TortoiseGit-1.8.2.0-64bit on Windows 7
msysgit 1.8
TortoiseGit-LanguagePack-1.8.2.0-64bit-pt_BR

Please provide any additional information below.
Dispite the error message, the Repository Browser window is shown.
