Create Patch Serial: Remember "Since" branch

By steve_ho...@hotmail.com on April 19, 2013 19:49 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Create a remote branch
  2. Create a local branch and switch to it
  3. Make some commits in your local branch
  4. Click "Create Patch Serial"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Default to master. Generally when working with OpenSource projects you're not in control of the remote branches and tend to perform all your changes in local branches - as I do when working on cURL.

However, every time I perform "Create Patch Serial" it defaults the "Since" option to what appears to be the latest remote branch, which is weeks old, so I end up accidentally producing hundreds of patch files :(

What version of TortoiseGit and msysgit are you using? On
what operating system?

TortoiseGit v1.8.2.0, msysgit v1.8.1.2, Windows 8 64-bit
