Pre-populate commit message on squash merges

By und... on March 21, 2013 18:57 (imported from Google Code)

Enhancement request:

> What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Perform a squash merge
  2. Open the commit dialog

> What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The commit message is blank. It would be nice if it were pre-populated with the squashed commits concatenated together (the way the command-line interface does).

> What version of TortoiseGit and msysgit are you using? On
what operating system?

TortoiseGit 1.8.1.0, Git 1.8.0.msysgit.0

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
