Show log in different branch reverts to active branch

By daniel42kl... on March 18, 2013 22:51 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. {context menu} -> TortoiseGit -> Show log
  2. Change visible branch by clicking on current branch name (on top left) and selecting a different one
  3. Right click on a file at the bottom in the "Path" column
  4. Select Show Log

The branch shown defaults back to the current working branch and has to be manually changed again to match the parent view. By default I would expect to see the log for the file in the branch I was explicitly viewing in the parent window.

TortoiseGit 1.8.1.0
git version 1.8.0.msysgit.0 (C:\Program Files\Git\bin)
Windows 7, 32-bit
