High screen DPI breaks TortoiseGitMerge's ribbon UI sprites

By lordde... on March 03, 2013 13:46 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Set a >100% screen DPI in Windows (I'm using 150%), logging out & back in, if necessary.
  2. Open TortoiseGitMerge; you don't even have to open any files in it.
  3. Look at the ribbon UI at the top of the window.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect the UI icons to not be totally broken; instead I'm seeing each button displaying its normal icon and then also half of the next icon in the sprite. Icons also have black backgrounds instead of being transparent.

What version of TortoiseGit and msysgit are you using? On
what operating system?
TortoiseGitMerge 1.8.1.0 - 64 Bit, Feb 7 2013
git version 1.8.1.msysgit.1 (C:\Program Files (x86)\Git\bin)
Windows 8 x64

Please provide any additional information below.
Attached a screenshot of the broken UI/sprites.
