Log dialog failed to view revision in alternative editor of the same file more than once

By @ch3cooli on November 16, 2012 14:26 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Open Log Dialog
  2. Select a revision
  3. Select a changed file
  4. Right click -> View revision in alternative editor
  5. Notepad2 opens the file (The word Read Only is shown on title bar)
  6. Close Notepad2
  7. Right click -> View revision in alternative editor

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Actual: Notepad2 opens the file again (The word Read Only is shown on title bar)
Instead: Message box shows "Failed to checkout file "1,txt" of revision abcdef1 to "C:\Users\User\Desktop\1_abcdef1.txt""

What version of TortoiseGit and msysgit are you using? On
what operating system?
TortoiseGit 1.7.14
msysgit 1.8.0
