What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Install TortoiseGIT and select Plink

  5. Install TortoiseGIT and select Plink
  6. Upgrade from the command line `msiexec /qn /i TortoiseGit-1.7.14.0-64bit.msi" REBOOT=ReallySuppress
  7. Try to push to an SSH destination configured for password-less login in PuTTY
  8. curse because it asks for a password
  9. Go into TortoiseGIT settings and change it back to using TortoisePlink.exe

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Sticking with plink

What version of TortoiseGit and msysgit are you using? On
what operating system?
1.7.14.0, and at least the last 3 versions

Please provide any additional information below.
I think the problem comes from the logic deciding which SSH client to use is in the UI, which doesn't get run in /qn "Shut up and just do it" mode. The logic removes the unwanted setting, but since it doesn't get run both settings are set, and the ssh.exe is last so it wins.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
