TortoiseMerge cannot diff files after calling Export in Log Dialog

By @ch3cooli on September 11, 2012 03:08 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Open Log dialog
  2. Select a revision
  3. Choose Export
  4. Enter zip filename in SaveFileDialog
  5. Click OK to run export.
  6. Close progress window.
  7. Double click any modified file in current revision
  8. TortoiseMerge shows to diff files

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: TortoiseMerge can diff files
Actual: TortoiseMerge cannot diff files with error message

The diff engine aborted because of an error:
Can't open file 'C:\DOCUME1\USERNA1\LOCALS~1\Temp\2\Sta6919.tmp\StatusTests-020ac78.cs': The system cannot find the file specified.

What version of TortoiseGit and msysgit are you using? On
what operating system?
TortoiseGit 1.7.12.0
msysgit 1.7.10 / 1.7.11
Windows XP x86 / Server 2003 x86

Please provide any additional information below.
Windows 7 x64 does not suffer from this problem
