Overlays missing in TotalCommander since version 1.7.12 (also in 1.7.12.1)

By marius.luca... on August 16, 2012 23:38 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Start total commander and navigate to your git folder.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Until version 1.7.11 overlay icons were present.
No overlays are present and if using a task manager a TGitCache.exe processed can be noticed starting and closing fast on total commander refresh (F2 key).

What version of TortoiseGit and msysgit are you using? On
what operating system?
TortoiseGit 1.7.12.1 x64
msysgit 1.7.11.msysgit.1
Windows 7 x64

Please provide any additional information below.
I have checked for the "show overlay icons only in explorer" option and no matter what its state is the end result stays the same. Overlay icons work fine in explorer even on a large repo.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
