Create Branch fail if branch name is invalidate

By @lznuaa on February 02, 2009 02:31 (imported from Google Code)

Problem found at Commit Hash:

A low priority bug or deficiency, if a name with spaces is entered as the
branch name it comes up with a useless message, it would be better to
check for a valid string before passing to git..
Should I be entering small issues like this that we do not want to forget
but are not a priority on the Issues page on the website rather than here?
