MSVC crashing unloading TortoiseGit32.dll (faulting module TortoiseGit32.dll_unloaded)

By git... on July 07, 2012 19:49 (imported from Google Code)

Using TortoiseGit 1.7.11.0 (64bit), I have been having frequent yet random crashes in MSVC.

Using 1.7.10.0 (64bit)I don't have any issues of the crash in question, but 1.7.10.0 has other issues so it can't be used.

It triggers DEP.
Event log shows:
Faulting application devenv.exe, version 10.0.40219.1, time stamp 0x4d5f2a73, faulting module TortoiseGit32.dll_unloaded, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp 0x4ff1c595, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x6d6a3750, process id 0x134c, application start time 0x01cd5c6199f6feae.

Vista 64bit, MSVC 2010

I have attempted to reinstall tortoisegit, to no avail.

I don't even have to be actively using MSVC for it to crash and to show:
