HOME environment variable is not set up correctly on x86

By pleri... on July 05, 2012 16:40 (imported from Google Code)

Since upgrading to TortoiseGit 1.7.11, fetching or pulling from a Windows XP 32-bit machine fails. Here is a typical log:

git.exe fetch -v --progress "origin"
Could not create directory '/c/Document\002/.ssh'.
Failed to add the host to the list of known hosts (/c/Document\002/.ssh/known_hosts).

If I reinstall 1.7.10 then it works again. I'm using SSH. The server is running msysgit 1.7.11 and CopSSH 3.0.3. The operating system on the server is Windows Foundation Server 64-bit.

The same TortoiseGit 1.7.11 works fine when pulling from the same repository from a Windows 7 x64 machine.

Any ideas what may be causing this?

Thanks!

Pierre
