Filter/Search for Branches

By mark_satterthwa...@xyratex.com on June 18, 2012 09:14 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Have plenty of branches (we have one per issue)
  2. To code review a commit, I need to checkout the branch
  3. Finding the branch can be very difficult when there are lots of branches on the remote repository.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
On the browse references screen, a search or filter box would be great. It would be useful if wild cards are accepted but a simple filter would suffice.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
TortoiseGit Version: 1.7.10.0
OS: Windows 7 Professional

Please provide any additional information below.
A filter like that used in the Show Log screen would be great in the browse references screen.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
