Show Branch for Commits

By ...@wolke7.net on May 10, 2012 14:25 (imported from Google Code)

At the moment it is sometimes a little cumbersome to find out on which branch(es) a commit is located.
This is especially true if the commit is older (you have to scroll through the graphical tree on the left until you find the head of the branch) and even more so when you use the filtering (because then the graphical tree is not shown any more).

It would be great if the branch (or branches) of a commit could be displayed as text. This could be realized with a balloon hint when the mouse pointer hovers over the commit or also with a new command in the context menu of the commit.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
