TGitCache.exe crashes under Win7/64bit

By iuse... on May 10, 2012 10:54 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. In explorer right click on folder and check for modifications
  2. Once the dialog comes up I get a TortoiseGit status cache has stopped working message
    3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
For TGitCache not to crash.

Question: Is it safe to use TGit once the TGitCache crashes or
is there risk of data loss?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.7.9.0
Windows 7 64 Bit with all current updates.
UAC is disabled in case it matters.
