SVN Rebase doesn't work

By cstimm... on July 13, 2009 10:22 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. I retrieved a git-svn checkout of some SVN repository using the git
    command line.
  2. In this working directory, I select the "SVN Rebase..." command in the
    TortoiseGit sub-menu

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expected some sort of progress window.
I see this: Nothing happens - no error message, no visible activity
anywhere, not even a noticable new process in the Task Manager.

Note: "SVN DCommit" indeed works correctly and very nice!

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Windows XP
tortoisegit 0.8.1.0
git 1.6.3.2.1299.gee46c (the current msysgit preview20090608 package)

When using this "git svn" from the command line directly, it works
correctly. Also, this SVN repository requires authentication, but I already
entered this in the first "git svn" command line test, so TortoiseGIT
shouldn't need those anymore.

Please provide any additional information below.
Is there anything I can do for getting more detailed debugging information?
I'm quite experienced with Linux, Git, Windows, but not with shell
extension programming. Feel free to send me anything more to test.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
