Custom screen DPI causes wrong text size calculation.

By hakon.tran... on May 04, 2012 20:33 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Set your DPI to 125%
  2. Log in and out of windows
  3. Open commit dialog.
  4. Type some text into the dialog.
  5. Click on somewhere in the middle of the text

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect the text cursor to be placed where I clicked,
instead, the cursor is positioned somewhere else.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
TortoiseGit 1.7.8.0
git version 1.7.4.msysgit.0
Windows 7 Professional (Version 6.1, Build 7601: Service Pack 1)

Please provide any additional information below.

This bug also causes the textfield to not allow you to scale all the way to the bottom.

I have noticed this bug, so far, in the commit dialog and in the blame dialog.

I did not see this problem before I upgraded to 1.7.8.0.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
