"git did not exit cleanly (exit code 128)" error, even after system restart

By ron.gr... on March 08, 2012 11:40 (imported from Google Code)

This is what caused for me, I can't be sure if it reproduces:

  1. I did either multiple concucrrent pulls via tortoise, or multiple pushes, ON THE SAME REPO. The pulls/pushes were all taking place together at the same time. This was just a silly mistake.
  2. I canceled one of them, waited for the other to finish.
  3. Got the error "git did not exit cleanly (exit code 128)"

This errors persists even after a restart, and on different repositories that I have not worked on for a while.

git pull / git push using msysgit works well, it's just Tortoise that's giving me a hard time. I will have to reinstall TortoiseGit, I hope that will solve the issue.

Version info:

TortoiseGit 1.7.7.0
git version 1.7.6.msysgit.0

Windows 7 64 bit.
