Directory incorrectly shown as changed (overlay icon)

By rodrigo.coe... on March 02, 2012 19:36 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. In a repository, create a directory with some files.
  2. Create a .gitignore and ignore one of them.
  3. Commit all but the ignored file.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It is expected to TortoiseGIT show this directory as ok (the overlay icon), but it show as changed.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
TortoiseGit 1.7.6.0
git version 1.7.8.msysgit.0
Windows 7 64-bit
