Error trying to delete remote branch named 1.0.0

By alrik1... on February 13, 2012 10:03 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Create a remote branch named 1.0.0 in GitHub
  2. Try to delete it.
  3. Error.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect the deletion of the 1.0.0 branch from the remote. There are also in the server a tag called 1.0.0

The message is:
Could not delete branch origin/1.0.0 Message from git:

error: dst refspec 1.0.0 matches more than one.
error: failed to push some refs...

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

turtoisegit 1.7.7.0
git version 1.7.7.1.msysgit.0
