Correct default name in Switch/Checkout dialog

By c.marscha... on February 09, 2012 11:48 (imported from Google Code)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Create a repository with at least one hierarchical branch (e.g. release/1.0.0)
  2. Clone this repository and open the "Switch / Checkout" dialog
  3. Select the branch (e.g remotes/origin/release/1.0.0)
  4. The default name in the "Create New Branch" textbox omits the "relese/" prefix, which can lead to troubles if you carelessly do a push all branches later on

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I'd be nice to see the correct name "release/1.0.0" as the default name for the local branch

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
TortoiseGit 1.7.6.0
git version 1.7.8.msysgit.0
Windows XP
