Mastalab quits responding to network actions after certain period of use
After using the application for a short period of time, I cannot receive content, post, or perform any other operation that requires any sort of outgoing/incoming networking ability. I can still use the application interface, though. It responds with what has already been fetched or is loaded from the software itself: animations for boosting/favouriting, opening the settings menu, tapping on tabs and opening the side bar, etc. However, the actual action of boosting, favouriting, or otherwise viewing my or someone else's account (or making a search) will not work. It will continually display the 'loading' icon for any length of time (see below). I must manually kill the application to temporarily fix this. After restarting, it will resume normal operation for a short period of time. Strangely, This does not become an issue if I do not post. I can continually fave, boost, and load new posts. I cannot speak on how long this would last, though.
What have you tried to fix this?
- Killing and restarting the application
- Clearing application cache
- Clearing phone cache (I can't say whether this is still necessary)
- Signing out and back in
- Clearing application data
- Waiting for the application to finish completing its task. If I do not terminate the application, it may take anywhere between a minute to ten (or more) minutes to complete. This also seems to apply to all subsequent tasks.
When did this start happening?
I remember this starting as far back as September of 2018.
I signed in with another account at some point later on (sometime in October, iirc), and the issue magically went away for a while. I remember this because I felt relief that I could post more than a few times and it would work properly. I think an update reverted it back to its strange behaviour, though.
