YouTube metadata related suggestions
Having to type the YouTube channel name in the topic title every time you submit a video from there is a bit weird, and because it's being manually inputted the placement is often inconsistent between topics. However if the "authors - name" scraped from YouTube by Embed.ly could simply be added to the topic header somewhere that would be nice since it would keep placement consistent.
Reddit does something similar by putting the author name after the domain (if you have that option enabled in prefs), but the format is oddly inconsistent across the two YouTube domains e.g.
(youtu.be: channelname) and
(youtube.com/user/channelname). On reddit you also cannot click on the channel name to see all the other submissions from that channel, which would be a nice feature to also include on Tildes.
Video duration is also something that would be really nice to include on Tildes in the title header (similar to word count on self-text) too, but it doesn't appear that Embed.ly scrapes that data. It is available through the YouTube API though (
contentDetails.duration). Reddit Enhancement Suite has a similar feature for showing "video time" (as well as options for showing video view count and upload date) but it often just stops working, apparently due to YouTube API request quotas... however that shouldn't be a problem for Tildes.
