Thanks for filing an issue! Please answer the questions below so I can help you.
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
What happened: When switching from hardwired connection to Wifi. iTerm2 is EXTREMELY slow. You must quit iTerm2 from the dock and restart for it to recover.
What should have happened: I've been using iTerm2 since 2009 or 2010 on Macbooks. This has never been an issue. The built-in Mac term utility is unaffected during the switch from hardwire to Wifi.
George,
Wait. Can you send me all the symlinks I should be preserving, so that I can fix/monitor that after an install.
So, who would be responsible for the Install procedure ?
Thanks so much for all your help.

George,
I use a tool for Mac called muCommander. Its a simple dual-pane GUI directory tool. Something like the old Norton Commander on Windoze. http://www.mucommander.com/
On the command line I use gunzip.
So, I would unzip iTerm2 and copy the iTerm.app it over to /Applications.
If you have symlinks I don’t think they will be preserved unless I use a command line like “cp –R” correct?
Thanks for all your help.

No. /Users/thimes/Downloads/iterm2/test/iTerm.app/Contents/Frameworks/ColorPicker.framework/Resources and /Users/thimes/Downloads/iterm2/test/iTerm.app/Contents/Frameworks/ColorPicker.framework/ColorPicker
are both Unix executable files. There are NO .tiff files in that directory.
There is another subfolder; /Users/thimes/Downloads/iterm2/test/iTerm.app/Contents/Frameworks/ColorPicker.framework/Resources/Versions/A/Resources/
where all the .tiff files are. And SwatchCheckerboard.tiff does exist and is readable.
Here are all the files in that directory; /Users/thimes/Downloads/iterm2/test/iTerm.app/Contents/Frameworks/ColorPicker.framework/Resources/Versions/A/Resources/ ActiveEscapeHatch.tiff ctiveEscapeHatch.tiff ActiveEyedropper.tiff Add.tiff colors.txt EscapeHatch.tiff Eyedropper.tiff HSB.tiff Info.plist NoColor.tiff Remove.tiff RGB.tiff SelectedColorIndicator.tiff SelectionIndicator.tiff SwatchCheckerboard.tiff
It seems like these are all in the wrong place? Maybe? Could it be that simple?

Nope. No joy. Attached is the colorlog.txt file.
But the current version I am running (you sent me) DOES work. Build 3.2.20180223
I resized the screenshot. I hope you can open it.

George,
Attached is the colorlog.txt created.
Following the paths within Show Package Contents: /Contents/Frameworks/ColorPicket.framwork/Versions/A/Resources/*.tff
All images within the path and listed in colorlog.txt were able to be accessed and viewed.
I hope this helps.

No mention of any “tiff” file. But I did check all tiff’s in your iterm2.app distribution. All Ok, of course.
Let me know if I delivered enough intel.

George,
Yep. Still crashes. I followed all your instructions from before. Now if I want to do anything with colors, I go to my old Mac OS-X 10.8 and use iTerm2 there, then copy it over. It still works on that machine. Very annoying.
I was doing the following at the time of the crash:
My E-Mail address is thimes@jpl.nasa.gov in case you want to get back to me.
Thanks.
