[PACK] Create Diataxis pack
The Diataxis framework is extremely popular with developers and we could create a template pack from our existing templates to support this template pack. (In fact, it was one of the frameworks this project originally used when deciding which templates to create.) I think we could support the rollout of this template pack with a blog entry or method article and use it as an outreach tool to bring more users to our templates.
Since this template pack could be assembled and released at any time, I think we should be strategic about when we release this template pack. Let's release it possibly at a time when we feel really confident in our product and are ready to start marketing it pretty extensively. Either that or we could choose to release it when we have a lighter release and want to make the release a little more substantial.
See Template packs for more information about what a template pack is.
Templates that are planned for this template pack
The following templates are planned for this template pack:
-
Tutorial (additional files) - #354 -
How-to (additional files) - #362 -
Explanation (concept) - #235 (closed) -
Reference - #198
Definition of done
A template pack can be released as soon as it has at least at least one of each template that is:
- Task-oriented
- Concept-oriented
- Reference-oriented
The template pack can be released if it has one of each of these types of templates, but the issue can't be closed until all planned templates are complete.
A template pack is released when it is included on our README file or our website. All new or enhanced template packs should be included in the release notes.
Want to work on this template pack?
Great! The best way to contribute is to work on one of the templates that are part of the pack. See the issue for that specific template for more information.
