'no entries found' despite having written entires

don't know if it's an issue on me or if it's a general issue, but anything went ok with installation but for some reason, on my website it tells me 'no entries found' even though i have written some. no issue with the database or anything, as installation went smoothly, and adding the code to the site did work properly as well.
