Propose and implement a style guide for documentation
We currently lack a style guide which leads to inconsistent style and debates regarding documentation. For instance, whether American or British English should be used.
This issue tracks the development of such a style guide (or just the adoption of an existing which seems simpler), and secondly, the implementation thereof throughout the documentation.

@arvidnl started a discussion: (+2 comments) As I mentioned above, we don't have a style guide. It seems like different authors in the project prefer American / British English. I argue that we should write in American English (you can find my arguments on slack in the channel #editorial-board if you're curious). But I don't think MRs should switch between them based personal preference, unless the MR imposes that change consistently (at least in those files that are already touched by the MR), or if it can be argued that the rest of the documentation is or should be written in American English.
