Datasheets won't open
when i add datasheets, i link the source of the pdf and choose file system, when i click open datasheet or open attachment i get an error.... not sure what to do here as the folder defined in the address bar as workspace doesnt actually exist :/
I can't reproduce this error. I'm also wondering if BOMER is silently failing on writing files to disk, so when you try to open it the path doesn't actually exists. Try to put BOMER on a "Users" sub-directory or other one that you know you have write access. (e.g.
Edit: pretty sure that's it, since you have BOMER on "Program Files" directory.
I definitely have write access, it's the only user on the pc and thus an administrator :/ I'll still give it a try and let you know how it goes
Ok, got it! BOMER is attempting to write files (datasheets, etc) in the wrong directory.
Even if you have write access, Windows doesn't allow writing new files on "Program Files" dirs. I mean, an app that runs on "Program Files" can't create files there, and that's what's happening here. However, this is not happening for other files BOMER needs to write (parts, settings, etc), those should end up here:
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\BOMER
@Jaylouisw as I said a quick fix is to use BOMER in one "C:\Users" subdirectory or one that Windows allows writting on.
I'm postponing a fix for this a little bit but in a near future BOMER will save all data on a writable folder (usually "C:\Users<user>\AppData...") by default despite where the executable is placed.
