Two-Weapon Fighting (Dual Weapons)
Current dual weapons mechanic (as described by GrayFace) imho works only partially and need to be adjusted.
Ideally two weapons should mean two separate strikes; each with its own chance to hit; if this impossible it still could be a single strike just with some attack correction - attack bonus should be calculated upon average weapon skill values (no difference for the cases of the same weapon type or same values in skill ranks).
Total damage should be calculated separately for each hand: weapon_damage + strength_bonus + armsmaster_bonus + buff_heroism + elemental_damage + something_else_i_could_forgot
Such changes probably will significantly buff dual wielding, but probably the sense in dual wielding exactly in this.
By developing this idea it could be possible to implement other various common DW features like attack penalties for DW or half-strength bonus for second hand (ambidexterity etc.).
Another idea would be probably to implement the whole dual wielding skill (like in wizardry), that would allow to use any 1H weapons from the start (and maybe implement "Titan Grip" feature for large creatures like minotaurs or trolls to dual-wield two-handed weapons), but that's another story. :)
