"Cannot open access to console, the root account is locked" problem
Steps:
- Enter grub2 boot options editing (press "e" on bootscreen)
- append "systemd.unit=emergency.target" to the line starting with "linux..."
- ctrl-x
Expected result: System boots successfully, shows command prompt and accepts commands.
Actual result: System starts booting and doesn't finish, doesn't show command prompt and doesn't accept commands. Instead, system shows: "Cannot open access to console, the root account is locked. See sulogin(8) man page for more details.
Workaround: append "init=/bin/bash" in the line starting with "linux..." in the grub2 boot options.
