CNF compatibility

is the GitOps approach systematically compatible with CNF? assuming that the CNF is running on Kubernetes, the expected answer is yes. But we observed that some CNF have to be deployed on "old" Kubernetes, sometimes out of life for a while. Shall we deploy old GitOps engine to be able to deploy CNF running on old Kubernetes? Sometimes some CNFs a far from being cloud native, requesting costly adaptations on the GitOps side. It would be interesting to share on this topic and maybe write a guideline..
