Recently, we observed an issue where all NFS-Ganesha services became unresponsive. However, the nfs-ganesha-provisioner Pod remained in a healthy and running state, as it was unable to detect the service hang condition.
Ideally, the nfs-ganesha-provisioner should be able to detect such service failures and take corrective actions, such as restarting itself to recover automatically.
Therefore, there is a need for a mechanism that continuously monitors the health of NFS-Ganesha services and triggers appropriate recovery actions when failures are detected.
