Automated update for F-Droid on Android 14

Summary

According to F-Droid, this app can not automatically be updated at https://f-droid.org/en/packages/opencontacts.open.com.opencontacts/

Steps to reproduce

  1. Using Android 14. For exemple from https://lineageos.org version 21

  2. Install F-Droid app (client) from https://f-droid.org/en/

  3. Using F-Droid app above, install OpenContacts from https://f-droid.org/en/packages/opencontacts.open.com.opencontacts/

  4. F-Droid warns users with this message. This is the challenge:

    This app was built for an older version of Android and cannot be updated automatically.

  5. The first needed end result is that this message is not display. The second needed end result is that OpenContact installed via F-Droid is automatically udpated on Android 14.
