Maybe streamline for platform build?

Yesterday I spent some hours to try to include OpenContacts in to my lineage build as main contacts app. You know, it really sucks, that they don't support birthdays.

But I got stuck in writing the soong blueprints for the integration of the library ExpandedMenuView.

I know it is much more easy to just merge a precompiled apk into the platform build, but I think for such a core functionality as Contacts are, it would be nice to have a really neat integration.

But maybe you have design considerations to not do so?
