surface mesh cap spans whole simulation cell face

For a particular value of the slice modifier distance value the entire X-axis face of the simulation cell is covered with one cap after surface mesh modifier.

It should be looking like this (reduced thickness):

Steps taken:

• 2 Slice Modifiers to extract only a section along the X Axis.
  • first at distance 761.695
  • second at distance 461.695 with reverse orientation (this creates a section with 300 thickness)
• affine transformation with an X translation of -461.695 to move the particle section back to 0
• construct surface mesh with cap polygons enabled

I have uploaded the pipeline.ovito. This also happens in the python version.

I don't know how to reproduce this with other values. I just happened to stumble upon this by chance when I was slicing this dataset into 20 pieces. I can say however, that there is some tolerance.

To test this yourself you would need one of these datasets. The one I found the problem at is (Note: direct download) 200_22_266_120_0900.0504.txt
