Images that don't display

Is this a problem with blobs not having extensions and <Image> not knowing how to interpret them?

Steps to reproduce the bug:

Browse through content and look for png or gif images.

Expected behavior:

Images are shown.

Actual behavior:

Placeholder is shown instead.
