Aliases are not kept when changing type of an object
Summary
When a media or a mesh type is changed (from image
to video
for example), the replaceObject
attribute of the World
is called. Even though it takes the alias as a parameter this attribute does not keep the object alias in the process.
How to reproduce ?
- Change the alias of a media or a mesh
- Change its type
- The alias is not kept
Expected behavior
This alias should be kept the same.
What is the frequency of occurrence of this behavior ?
Always.
Other comment
It's not as simple as it seems to fix this, because the replacement is done asynchronously.
