Material branch: Use escape to close pop-up modals (emoji, reply, etc)

I'd like to be able to close the pop-up modals in the timeline (emoji, reply) quickly, for example with escape (Riot does this). Now if I'm typing for example a reply, I have to move the mouse to cancel it if I change my plans halfway through.
