Thrown shadowless carried object has a shadow during their movement

This may or may be a follow up to the previous issue regarding carried object shadow crash fix, i'll let you decide:

if you remove the shadow at creation time, then it seems fine (no shadow is seen indeed when moving). However, as soon as you throw the object, a new shadow gets visible, and it stays so until the item has been destroyed. Checking for a shadow in the "on_thrown" and "on_breaking" events suggest there is no shadow at these moments, so what is happening, then?
